ABOUT ME
Luk Kam Man, Kam (b. 1997) is a young artist from Hong Kong, China. She is now studying at Birmingham City University BA (Hons) Fine Art, after graduating from the Higher Diploma of Visual Art and Culture in Hong Kong Design Institute
Kam's art explores a repetitive and mundane process, pushing her own sense of confusion into something meditative and transcendental; drawing a single line again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again, transforming a simple action into something extraordinary. She uses this process - of repeating a single line - to explore inner psychological landscapes.
Kam's current work has borrowed from the traditions of op-art to employs large scale drawings, using the process to abandon reality and introspect on her own sense of self. The intention is to create a space where the viewer can reflect on their own lives and actions.
